Superior Quality Franklin Adhesives to Choose From

Advantage 405: This is a two-part crosslinking polyvinyl acetate emulsion adhesive
developed specifically for high durability applications. It is an excellent choice for
general woodworking. You can use Advantage 405 for finger jointing, edge gluing,
hot pressing, cold pressing and radio frequency gluing.

Pressure Sensitive Adhesives

Covinax 169: This is a polyvinyl alcohol stabilized vinyl acrylic copolymer emulsion
that has been developed for various permanent pressure sensitive applications that
require very aggressive tack. It is a good choice for paper converting. This adhesive
works well in low temperatures. Covinax 169 is widely used in packaging
applications, both formulated and as a straight polymer. By adding a nonionic
surfactant, this product can be formulated into a wash-away adhesive.

Covinax 370: This is a hydroxyethyl cellulose stabilized vinyl acrylic copolymer and
comes in handy for paper converting. It has been formulated for various packaging
applications, including window gums, laminating, bonding to printed or lacquered
board, or bonding most synthetic films including untreated polyethylene

.
Door Manufacturing
Doorbond 200: This is a fast setting, one-component polyvinyl acetate emulsion
adhesive that meets the most up-to-date fire rated specifications. It is designed for
hot or cold press manufacture of flush and architectural doors and has been
formulated to prevent bleed-through under normal operating conditions. Doorbond
200 produces a water and heat resistant bond on rail, stile and skin substrates,
including wood, hardboard, MDF, particleboard and high-pressure laminates.

Laminating
Laminating 25: Your panel lay-up operation may be incomplete without this
adhesive. It is a moderately fast-setting adhesive for cold pressing high-pressure
laminate to different core materials. Laminating 25 has been formulated to combine
a long assembly time with a moderately fast press time. It meets the needs of most
industry combining a 15-minute layup time with about a 45-minute press time.

Laminating 50:
Laminating 50 is a vinyl acetate copolymer adhesive designed to bond HPL to
particleboard and fiberboard. It can be used in a variety of ways including continuous

heated-panel laminating systems, pinch roll and dead stack or limited lay-up time
cold-press operations. The adhesive has high green strength and tensile strength.

Multibond 1040: This is a one-part crosslinking polyvinyl acetate emulsion adhesive
that is best for use in radio frequency, cold press and edge and face gluing
applications.

Multibond 1060: Choose this one-part crosslinking polyvinyl acetate emulsion for
various laminating and edge and face gluing operations. It works particularly well for
hot press veneering where blead-through could be an issue. Multibond 1060 has
been around for more than two decades and earned a keen reputation in wood
bonding.

Multibond 1080: This is a one-part crosslinking polyvinyl acetate emulsion that is
known for its superior water resistance. It can be used in cold pressing, hot pressing,
edge gluing, and face gluing applications. It works great for cutting boards since it
has FDA approval for indirect food contact. In addition, it has been found to
exemplify superior strength when gluing exotic wood species.

Multibond SK-8: This is the first one-part crosslinking polyvinyl acetate emulsion that
meets industry standards like ANSI/HPVA HP-1-2000 Type 1 and ASTM D-4317 Type
1 Wet Use. Its superior performance makes it very popular for cold press lamination
by skateboard manufacturers. Multibond SK-8 can also be hot pressed and used in
applications that are radio frequency cured.
